Listed among the most beautiful villages of France, the village of Rodemack in Moselle is located at the heart of the Pays des Trois Frontières area, 20 km from Germany and 6 km from Luxembourg.
700 metres of 15th-century ramparts surround it, and you enter this charming medieval village through the fortified Sierck Gate. The village has successfully preserved and showcased this typical medieval atmosphere, with its distinctive cobbled streets and beautiful architectural heritage.
There you can admire the Bailiffs' house, built in 1560, the Officers' pavilion, built on the remains of the old feudal castle, a listed Historic Monument, the 17th-century Chapel of Our Lady, the old washhouse, and the 18th-century Church of St. Nicholas, the final resting place of one of the last lords of Bade, Herman-Fortuné and his wife Marie-Sidonie.
Not to be missed: the magnificent medieval garden, designed according to the era's typical geometric plan. It is made up of four parts, devoted to medicinal plants, edible plants, vegetables, and ornamental flowers and plants.
