Esquelbecq village is located in the heart of Flanders. It has about 2,200 inhabitants and covers 1195 hectares. It has preserved its authentic Flemish character. It is crossed from west to east by the Yser, famous small coastal river, lined with many oak trees, which gave the name of the village whose origins Flemish " Ekelsbeke " means " brook acorns." Esquelbecq is rich in history and traditions.
