Lovers of flowers and roses, welcome to Gerberoy. Known as the "village of a thousand rose bushes", this charming little town in Oise offers a wonderful sensory experience. Climbing roses, hydrangeas, wisteria, daisies and other plants... an explosion of scents and a festival of colours await you! The painter Le Sidaner fell in love with this village and created superb terraced gardens on the very ruins of the 19th-century castle.
The cobbled lanes, old cob houses with colourful timber work from the 17th and 18th centuries, ramparts and Charlemagne Tower add a certain cachet to the village. Not to mention the mini-vineyard, full of undeniable rural charm.
Every first weekend in June, the village hosts the Rose Festival, an unmissable event with a delightfully festive and romantic atmosphere.
