The Domaine de Villarceaux estate is located in the Vexin Français Regional Nature Park, in the Chaussy district. It consists of a 16th-century manor (the lower château), an 18th-century château (the upper château) and a magnificent 70-hectare park with "Remarkable Garden" status.
The park and gardens, open to the public from April to October, exude charm and serenity, and are a delight for all plant lovers. Among the treasures the estate is famous for are its waterside embroidery-like box hedge parterre, opposite the Ninon pavilion, its medieval garden with medicinal plants at the foot of St Nicolas tower, its ponds, canals and large lake, which are fed by numerous springs, and its farthingale-shaped bank.
The Louis XV-style upper château contains a stunning collection of 18th-century paintings and furniture, displayed in its drawing rooms and dining room.
During the summer season, the Domaine de Villarceaux estate provides the backdrop for numerous events, including concerts, plays and educational workshops.
